Finger Millet Cucumber Porridge
Finger millet is an excellent source of calcium that is essential for the development and strengthening of bones and teeth. This is an easy and healthy breakfast porridge that you can prepare quickly while rushing to office during busy mornings. Adding ginger, cucumber makes it more tasty.
Cooking time: 8-10 mins
Serving: 8 cups
Ingredients:
Finger millet flour - 1 cup
Buttermilk - 4 cups
Shallots - 3 (finely chopped)
Cumin seeds - 1 tspn
Ginger - 1 inch (finely chopped)
Curry leaves - few (chopped)
Cucumber - 1/2 (finely chopped)
Salt to taste
Method:
1. Grab all the ingredients
2. Add the flour with 4 cups of water in a pan. Mix well without lumps. Add salt
3. Heat the pan with the above mixture. Stir continuously and cook for about 8-10 mins
4. It will starts thickening by the time. Switch off
5. Cool down completely. Add buttermilk. Mix well
6. Add cumin seeds (crush it with hands and add), curry leaves, ginger, cucumber, shallots. Mix well
7. Easy instant Ragi Koozh / Porridge is ready to serve.
